Forearm Roll
The Leaders in Left-handed Golf Instruction
|
Presented by Seth Glasco and Nick Kumpis
EXERCISE
Stand up straight, arms hanging at
your side. Place one club in each
hand. Bend arms at elbow to form a
90 degree angle. Rotate club side to
side using your forearm. Your elbow
should stay at your side and arm
should remain at a 90 degree angle.
Then put club in other hand and
repeat.
Benefit
Increases strength in forearms. For
lefty golfers doing this exercise with the
right arm is most important. The right
arm controls the clubface and this
rotation is needed to square the
clubface up at impact and fully release
the clubhead. If you ever want to draw
the ball you must have this rotation of
the forearm.
